Talk Amongst Yourselves Tuesday

Miss C wants to know, "Do you see God on TV?"

When Miss Beth is preaching The Word: YES

When the VMA's are on: FAR FROM IT

When newscasters are covering Hurricane Ike: YES, EVEN THOUGH I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT.

When The Biggest Loser is on: Not really, but I can see where God could show His Power in some lives, and sometimes He speaks to me through it, so maybe yes after all?

When LOST is on: Um, depends on the episode, but we always have spiritual discussions afterwards, does that count?

Most times if I turn the news on and Chickie Boy is lurking, watching, YES. We end up having seriously deep spiritual conversations. Ethical and moral topics I wonder if they are too heavy for a six year old.

Commercials bring an opportunity to talk about greed and poverty and the blessings we have.

Aside from that, they are movie cartoon watchers and so I don't know if Tom and Jerry has a spiritual undertone.

Interesting question, Miss C. Interesting question.

Absolutely, all the time! It's all a matter of keeping your eyes open for Him (and your ears, for that matter).

I have a question - Do you turn the channel when you hear the Lord's name used in vain? I really struggle with this, as it seems like they are saying that horrid phrase on every show...

I hardley see God on t.v. any more. Although Interstate Battery has a christian commercial my husband and I cought on the Fox News Channel (which is mostly what we watch). I see more negative than positive...and it is such sneaky stuff too.
